Architectural Bike Tour of Historic Logan Square

Join the ICAA Luminaries Young Professionals on a BYOB (Bring Your Own Bike) architectural tour of Chicago’s Logan Square Boulevard Landmark District, part of the broader ‘Emerald Necklace’ of historic parks encircling Chicago and the boulevards that connect them. We will start at the eastern terminus of Logan Boulevard, snaking our way west to Logan Square and the Centennial Monument, then heading south and east down Kedzie, Palmer, and Humboldt Boulevards towards Humboldt Park. The ride will conclude with a jaunt back east on the 606 Trail, ending at the new Marz Community Center on Western Avenue. Along the 6-mile journey, we will take in the classic architecture and lush greenery of the boulevard streetscapes, some of Chicago’s most intact historic urban areas.

Riders of all experience are welcome. This leisurely ride will take roughly 1.5 hours with plenty of stops. Those without a bike may rent from Divvy stations near our starting and ending points. Details provided upon registration, including any changes pending weather conditions.

Special thanks to our tour guide and Luminaries Committee member, John Borgman of Remains Lighting. Beers and light bites will be provided at the reception following the tour.

Members: $15, Non-Members: $25
